New appointments support sealing companys strategic European business development

Sealing technology specialist, Garlock (Great Britain) Limited, has announced two new appointments to support continuing development of its Europe, Middle East, India and Africa markets (EMIA). Stuart Phythian, previously UK Sales and Marketing Manager relocates to Dubai as Director of its Middle East operation and taking his place heading up the UK sales team is Darren Turner.

Bringing strong business development skills to Garlock, Turner will take the UK Team into the second phase of Garlocks UK growth strategy introduced by Phythian just 18 months ago. We have set up a strong network of agents and distributors over the past year who, together with our own direct sales Team, are able to offer a high level of technical and sales support, commented Turner.

Joining Garlock from a leading global group in the Material Handling sector, Turner understands the importance of product innovation to maintain market leadership. Garlocks wide product line up is both innovative in design and in application and our aim is to share its benefits with an ever widening audience, Turner continued.

Phythians approach to market development is already benefiting customers in the Middle East. We have supplied the Middle East market for many years and increased business in the area now demands an increased level of support. Our cost efficient products are seen as essential elements in all sectors where margins are being squeezed, commented Phythian.
